GLAMBOUR

A sold out event for Horizon Festival in 2023, Glambour Lipsync Battle, I created this project and opened it up for 10 members of the public to sign up and perform a lip-sync version of a chosen song, with the winner being chosen by the loudest audience applause. Hosted by my drag alter-ego Joji Maikeli and Tim Hall aka The Duchess of Balls, the concert was a wild ride with classic karaoke ballads, dance moves and fantastic costumes and make up with the winner 'Spit n me Beers' winning best in show with 'Hit me baby one more time' featuring the original choreography.

This show is a great way to encourage every day audience members to participate in the joy of performing on stage. We even had the president of the Nambour Chamber of Commerce Mark Bray get up and perform 'Wonderwall'! Events like Glambour allow us to broaden our relationships within our community and create new connections and hilarious memories.
